Building on the previous seminar, this follow-up session focuses on the practical application of subtitling skills using state-of-the-art, cloud-based subtitling equipment. Participants will engage in guided exercises to create, time, and edit their own subtitles for a short video clip. Designed as an interactive workshop, this seminar offers a valuable opportunity to refine subtitling techniques in a professional workflow environment and deepen understanding of this translation practice through hands-on experience.

主讲人简介

Jorge Díaz Cintas is Professor of Translation and founding director of the Centre for Translation Studies (CenTraS) at University College London. He is the author of numerous articles, special issues and books on audiovisual translation, including Subtitling: Concepts and Practices (with Aline Remael, 2021). Jorge is a frequent speaker at international conferences and events, and has offered consultancy services to the European Parliament, European Commission, NATO, OOONA, Deluxe and Netflix, among others. He is the Chief Editor of the series New Trends in Translation Studies and the recipient of several international awards for invaluable services to the field of audiovisual translation.
